Original Items: Only One Set Available. From the Arctic to the 30,000 foot bombing runs over Germany, USAAF pilots of WW2 were issued the sheepskin leather flight jackets for winter weather.

This United States Army Air Force winter-issue uniform set combines the ultra-classic B-3 style jacket with that of the airgunners B-1 trouser style, with deep front pockets for easy access.  This set is in a shearling style, which is a skin from a recently shorn sheep or lamb that has been tanned and dressed with the wool left on, and provides for a more durable garment.  

The jacket is in very good condition, size medium. Original tag has been cut away but it is built in the style of the B-3 jacket with zippered front stash pockets, and large collar with a leather neck strap.  Cuffs are not upturned but to extend past the length of the leather body.  Overall condition to the wool is good, with some light soiling to the cuffs, but no issues with pilling, fraying, or matting.  Leather is of choice condition and quite supple all the way around with very few issues of cracking.  Zippers made by Talon and are in fine working order.  Well preserved and taken care of.  

The pants are classic type B-1.  These pants were sometimes issued to ground crews but were most often used for flight purposes.  Size medium with suspenders and  a manufacture/maker label:
